A range, never a promise
Height Mode starts with family-height information when it is available, then considers age, current measurement quality, recent growth, and growth-stage answers. It returns a lower, central, and upper estimate with a confidence label.
The range is a Height Mode heuristic. It is not an official clinical centile calculation, bone-age assessment, or diagnosis. Missing or conflicting inputs widen uncertainty instead of being hidden.
Consistency beats frequency
Height naturally changes across the day. Measuring at a similar time, on the same flat surface, barefoot, with the same setup makes trend comparisons more useful. Height Mode recommends an evening check where practical and records whether a reading is exact or approximate.
The repeat-check flow compares multiple readings. When two close measurements agree, it can average them; when they disagree too much, it asks for another reading rather than treating noise as growth.
The chart is the long view
A single measurement can move because of posture, time of day, technique, or rounding. Height Mode keeps long-term history, shows provenance, and separates a possible plateau from an ordinary noisy reading.
Prediction context can change as new measurements and growth-stage information arrive. The original history remains visible instead of being rewritten to fit a newer estimate.
Routines support health, not magic gains
Sleep, enough food, regular movement, strength, hydration, and posture can support general health and reliable tracking. Height Mode does not add fictional height to an estimate because someone checked off a habit.
Posture can change how height is carried and how a single measurement reads, but it does not lengthen bones. Supplements are not positioned as height enhancers.
Know when an app is not enough
Sudden slowing or acceleration, early or delayed puberty concerns, persistent pain, fainting, fatigue, restrictive eating, or distress deserves qualified real-world support. Height Mode can help organise observations, not diagnose their cause.
A clinician summary can make a conversation easier, but the clinician remains responsible for any assessment, testing, diagnosis, or treatment.
Height Mode can organise measurements and questions. A qualified clinician assesses health concerns.
