What this notice covers
This notice describes the current Height Mode mobile app and the public website at heightmode.com. Height Mode is a local-first growth tracker for teenagers and families. It does not currently provide a Height Mode cloud account or automatic cloud backup.
The legal operator, jurisdiction, and market-specific rights language must be confirmed by specialist review before public release. Until then, this page is a transparent description of how the current build handles data, not a substitute for that review.
Profile and growth information
The app stores the details you choose to enter, which can include date of birth, sex at birth, height, weight, parent heights, country, optional background, growth-stage answers, routines, meal notes, goals, measurements, and coach history.
In the current build, this core profile stays on your device and is not uploaded to a Height Mode server. The public website does not ask for or collect this profile information.
Storage and retention
Height and weight measurements remain until you delete them or clear local data. Daily routine history can be kept for up to five years. Other profile, plan, meal, coach, reminder, and setting data remains until you reset or delete it.
You can create a complete local JSON backup and a measurement CSV from Settings. Height Mode does not upload those files. You choose where to store or send them through the device share sheet.
Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional, read-only, and limited to the categories you approve: height, weight, sleep, steps, active energy, and water. Shared Health data is read on the device and is only applied to Height Mode when you choose to use it.
Child profiles stay manual so a parent's Health store cannot be mistaken for the child's data. Apple manages Health permissions in iPhone Settings. Height Mode does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
Reminders, widget, and private insights
Routine, posture, hydration, measurement, and growth-profile review reminders are scheduled on the device. The widget receives a small daily snapshot through the app group on your device. The current build does not use remote push messages to send your growth profile or Health data.
On supported iPhones, short plan explanations can be generated with Apple foundation models on the device. Height Mode does not send those prompts, scores, or health details to a remote AI provider. The same feature falls back to built-in rules when local Apple Intelligence is unavailable.
Purchases
Apple and the subscription provider RevenueCat process store-account, product, purchase-history, transaction, and entitlement information under their own policies. RevenueCat uses an anonymous app customer identifier for receipt validation, Premium access, customer history, and subscription analytics.
Height Mode does not receive payment-card details or attach your profile, measurements, coach history, or Apple Health data to purchase checks.
A store transaction remains separate from local app data. Deleting the app or its local data does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Analytics, advertising, and community
Apart from the purchase processing and subscription analytics described above, the current build does not upload feature-usage analytics, use advertising identifiers, sell personal data, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. Development builds may print event names to local developer logs.
Community profiles, public posts, replies, rankings, and direct messages are not live. They will remain off until moderation, reporting, private defaults, and age-aware consent are ready.
Your choices
You can turn the privacy lock on or off, export and restore a local backup, edit or delete individual measurements, stop Health sync, change Health permissions in iPhone Settings, turn reminders off, disable private insights, and delete all Height Mode data stored on the device from Settings.
A restored backup replaces local profile and routine records but does not replace App Store purchases or reactivate Health access, reminders, or the widget. Files you export are outside Height Mode's control after you choose their destination.
Young people and families
Own-growth mode is designed for ages 13 to 20. Parent mode supports a child aged 8 to 20. Someone under 13 must continue with a parent or guardian in child mode, and a parent or guardian should remain involved wherever age or local rules require it.
The current build does not operate a public teen community or store child profiles on a Height Mode server.
Device security
You can require Face ID, Touch ID, or the phone passcode before Height Mode opens. When enabled, sensitive screens are covered when the app leaves the foreground and the unlocked session ends after a short time away.
No security feature can protect data after you deliberately export it or if another person has access to an unlocked device. Keep your device and any backup files secure.
Changes and contact
If Height Mode later adds accounts, cloud backup, remote AI, analytics, advertising, or a live community, this notice and the relevant consent choices must be updated before those features are enabled.
Questions about privacy or deletion can be sent to support@heightmode.com. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, or more health and development information than is needed.
